PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION: March 19, 2024, in Huron County, Ohio

BE A REGISTERED DEMOCRAT

To become a registered Democrat, just request a Democratic ballot when you go to vote in this primary election. If voting by mail, check the "Democratic" box on your Absentee Ballot Application.

WRITE-IN CANDIDATE

Our candidate for Ohio Senate District 2, which in Huron County includes Bellevue, Lyme Township, Wakeman and Wakeman Township, is a write-in for this primary election. If you live in one of those places, please write-in Paloma De La Fuente for Ohio Senate. This vote will put Paloma on the November ballot.

3 WAYS TO VOTE

  1. VOTE BY MAIL (Source: Ohio Secretary of State and Huron County Board of Elections.)
    • You can request your ballot beginning December 20, 2023.
    • Request an absentee ballot with this FORM: Print and fill-in the form, checking the "Democratic" box to get a Democratic ballot. SIGN the form. Return the completed form by mail to:

      Norwalk, OH 44857 The ballot request must be received by the Board of Elections by 8:30 p.m. on March 12.

    • You may also obtain a ballot request form from the drop box located in the front of the Huron County Administration Building (180 Milan Ave., Norwalk)
    • The Board of Elections will begin mailing absentee ballots out on February 21, the first day of early voting.
    • Return your voted ballot by mail, postmarked no later than March 18 (the day before election day).
      - OR -
      Drop your ballot into the drop box in front of the Board of Elections no later than 7:30 p.m. March 19 (election day).

    • A photo ID is NOT required. You can use the last four digits of your Social Security Number for ID.

    • To vote in person, a valid, unexpired photo ID is required. If you do not have a driver's license, you can get an Ohio State ID from the BMV at no cost.
  3. VOTE ON ELECTION DAY
    • Tuesday, March 19, VOTE at your precinct 6:30 AM - 7:30 PM
    • To look up your precinct polling location, CLICK HERE.
    • To vote in person, a valid, unexpired photo ID is required. If you do not have a driver's license, you can get an Ohio State ID from the BMV at no cost.

  • The DEADLINE to register to vote in this election is February 20. The Board of Elections will be open till 9:00 p.m. on this date for voter registration.
